The respiratory system plays a crucial role in improving mental well-being. By practicing proper breathing techniques, such as deep breathing and diaphragmatic breathing, a person can reduce stress and anxiety, increase awareness, and regulate emotions. This study aims to determine the effect of breathing techniques on mental well-being, specifically in reducing stress and anxiety. This research method utilized literature review and secondary data analysis. The results indicate that breathing techniques can reduce stress, anxiety, and depressive symptoms. This study concludes that breathing techniques can be an alternative for improving mental well-being.
