Abstract

This study aims to develop flashcard learning media for biology subjects, specifically on the topic of the musculoskeletal system, which is beneficial for improving student learning outcomes. This type of research is development research using the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate). Data were collected using several methods, such as observation, validation, teacher and student response questionnaires, and tests. The effectiveness of the flashcard was tested by distributing it to 36 students in class XI-2 of SMA Negeri 1 Silimakuta, Simalungun Regency. The results show that the flashcard has high validity for testing based on the final validation conducted by subject matter experts with a validity level of 89%, media experts 89%, language experts 91.6%, and biology teacher responses 98.9%. The practicality of the flashcard is based on student responses in individual trials of 86.1%, student responses in small group trials of 84%, and student responses in limited group trials of 88.8%, which are categorized as very practical. The pretest and posttest results show an N-Gain of 0.67, which is categorized as moderate. Based on this data, the use of flashcards on the topic of the musculoskeletal system is quite effective in improving student learning outcomes.
