PROFIL LITERASI SAINS PESERTA DIDIK PADA MATERI SISTEM PENCERNAAN MANUSIA DI KELAS VIII SMP NEGERI 1 PATUMBAK TAHUN PELAJARAN 2023/2024

Abstrak

This research aims to determine the profile of scientific literacy and map the scientific literacy of students in each class on material about the human digestive system based on the PISA 2018 framework in class VIII of SMP Negeri 1 Patumbak for the 2023/2024 academic year. The research was conducted February-April 2024. The research used descriptive research with quantitative methods and sampling techniques, namely a total sampling of 265 students. Data was collected using multiple choice test instruments. Descriptive statistical data analysis techniques. The research results show that the scientific literacy profile of students at level 3 is 50.19%. Mapping of science literacy abilities for class VIII-1 averaged 39.14 in the low category, VIII-2 averaged 36.67 in the low category, VIII-3 averaged 40.88 in the low category, VIII-4 averaged 43.55 low category, VIII-5 average 39.17 low category, VIII-6 average 42.80 low category, VIII-7 average 43.10 low category, VIII-8 average 39.33 low category, VIII-9 average 40.95 less category. It was concluded that the scientific literacy profile of students in class VIII of SMP Negeri 1 Patumbak averaged 40.63 in the poor category and class VIII-2 had the lowest average while class VIII-4 had the highest average of the 8 classes.
