Abstrak

This study examines the influence of the model problem based learning with science comic media on student learning outcomes on environmental pollution materials. This research is a type of research Quasi experiment With design pre-test post-test non-equivalent control group design. The population used in this study is all grade VII students of SMP Negeri 3 Medan which consists of 11 classes. Sampling in this study with the cluster random sampling with class VII A as an experimental class that will use the model problem based learning with science comic media and class VII D as a control class that will use the model problem based learning without science comic media. The data collection techniques used are observation and tests. The results of the research were obtained from the study using 20 multiple-choice questions as test instruments, namely the average score in the experimental class was 43.7 and 79.51 while in the control class it was 39.51 and 75. Based on the one-party t-test used in this study, it was obtained that Thitung > Ttable (3.24 > 1.67) there is an influence of the Problem Based Learning model with Science Comics media on student learning outcomes on pollution materials at SMP Negeri 3 Medan.
