Encyclopedia Plant Inventory Literature Review Spermatophyta

Abstrak

This study aims to examine the importance of Spermatophyta plant inventory in the Medan State University (UNIMED) campus area as a learning resource in the development of a biology encyclopedia. The research method uses a literature review by searching various scientific sources through Google Scholar, ResearchGate, ScienceDirect, and Garuda. The literature criteria used include publications on Spermatophyta plant inventory, its use as a biology learning resource, and the development of local biodiversity-based encyclopedia media published in the 2015–2025 period. Data were collected through a process of identification, selection, and synthesis of literature using the PRISMA approach, then analyzed descriptively qualitatively. The results of the study indicate that Spermatophyta plant inventory plays an important role in biodiversity conservation and has high educational value as a contextual learning resource. This activity supports the development of an engaging biology encyclopedia, increases students' ecological awareness, and encourages the implementation of local potential-based learning. Thus, Spermatophyta plant inventory in the UNIMED campus area is a strategic step in integrating biology education with sustainable environmental conservation efforts.
