This research aims to determine the level of diversity and abundance and the association of bird species with human activities. The study was conducted at the Royal Sumatra Golf Course in the Medan Tuntungan area in March 2024. This research was quantitative and descriptive by counting the number of bird species present. The parameters observed were the diversity level, species abundance, and association index. The analysis used is diversity using the Shanon Winner index formula, abundance using the Menhirck formula, and association using the Ochiai Index and Linear Regression The research results show that the Royal Sumatra Golf Course Medan Tuntungan area has a moderate level of bird diversity (H'= 1.6876) by obtaining six types of birds from 6 families, namely, Geopelia striata, Passer montanus, Collocalia fuciphaga, Pycnonotus goiavier, Ploceus manyar, Bubulcus ibis. The highest abundance of birds was found in tree habitats (35.55%). Meanwhile, the highest species abundance was Collocalia fuciphaga (29.81%). The Association Index for birds with humans produces various levels, where Geopelia striata and Bubulcus ibis own the Very High level (IO= 0.81). Collocalia fuciphaga has a high association level between birds and humans (IO= 0.66). Meanwhile, the bird-human association index for other bird species is low (IO= 0 to 0.4).
