Development is one of the main characteristics of living things, characterized by changes in function and ability towards maturity. This study aims to describe the development of motor skills in children aged 2–5 years as a concrete form of the concept of development of living things. The research method used a descriptive qualitative approach with direct observation techniques on six children in one of the Early Childhood Education (PAUD) in Medan City. The results of the study indicate that children's motor skills increase with age. Children aged two years generally do not have good motor balance, while children aged five years are able to coordinate and control fine movements. In addition, good motor development is also related to children's positive social skills, such as the ability to play with peers, run, jump, and clap. Continuous stimulation plays an important role in training children's motor skills, thereby fostering self-confidence and pride in both children and parents. Thus, this study concludes that motor skill development is a manifestation of the concept of development of living things that is influenced by age, stimulation, and environmental factors.
