This study aims to determine the effect of utilizing the Powtoon application on improving student learning outcomes regarding Plant Reproduction material in the fifth grade of SDN 12235 Pematangsiantar. To address the significantly low student learning outcomes in science education, specifically concerning plant reproduction, Powtoon animated videos were utilized to present the processes of pollination, fertilization, and seed growth in a visual, dynamic, and engaging manner. This research employed a quantitative method, specifically a quasi experiment, utilizing a One Group Pretest Posttest Design. The research subjects comprised 25 fifth grade students selected through a random sampling technique. Data were collected through learning outcome tests administered before and after the treatment. The results indicated that the average student learning outcome score increased from 68.6 in the pretest to 89.4 in the posttest, reflecting an improvement percentage of 30.3%. The results of the one way ANOVA test yielded a calculated F value of 25.68 with a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05. Consequently, it can be concluded that there is a significant difference between the two conditions regarding student learning outcomes in the Plant Reproduction material. Therefore, it is concluded that the Powtoon animated video media is proven to exert a highly significant influence in enhancing the learning outcomes of fifth grade elementary school students.
