Abstrak

This study aims to determine the differences in student learning outcomes taught using the Problem Based Learning Model and the Project Based Learning Model on Fungi Material in Class X of SMAN 2 Kota Pinang. The population of this study was all Class X students. The sample of this study was students of Class X IPA 1 (experimental class I) consisting of 36 students and Class X IPA 2 (experimental class II) consisting of 36 students. The sample in this study was determined using random sampling technique. The sample was given learning using the Problem Based Learning Model and those given learning using the Project Based Learning Model. The technique of collecting learning outcome data used the test method. The data analysis technique used the two-party t-test. Based on the results of the data requirement test, it was known that the student learning outcome data in the Problem Based Learning Model class and the Project Based Learning Model class were declared normally distributed and homogeneous. Meanwhile, based on the results of student learning outcomes, there was a significant difference where the average learning outcomes of students taught using the Problem Based Learning Model was 76.94, while the average learning outcomes of students taught using the Project Based Learning Model was 82.63. The difference in student learning outcomes using the Problem Based Learning Model and the Project Based Learning Model was 16.37%. The existence of differences in student learning outcomes in the two research classes was proven through hypothesis testing using the t-test with a confidence level (α = 0.05), where t count < 1.667. This means that Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected, which means there were differences in student learning outcomes using the Problem Based Learning Model and the Project Based Learning Model on Fungi Material in Class X of SMAN 2 Kota Pinang.
