The literacy ability of information texts of grade VII students of SMPIT Al Kahfi Tanjung Beringin, Langkat Regency is at a moderate level of 57.89%, where students have achieved minimum competencies. Meanwhile, reflection on the root of literacy problems, namely students' reading skills in information texts, is a priority to be improved. This study aims to analyze students' information text literacy abilities after participating in science learning through the Gallery Walk method on monocotyledonous and dicotyledonous plants. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews with the Principal and Science Teachers, initial assessments, documentation, and reflections. The research subjects consisted of 23 grade VII students of the 2024/2025 academic year. The results showed that students had not provided information about monocotyledonous and dicotyledonous plants correctly as much as 100% based on the initial assessment. After learning, 80% of students were able to find information, understand and interpret texts, evaluate and reflect and present factual information through contextual activities of observing local plants and making simple herbariums using the Gallery Walk method. Outdoor learning increased students' learning motivation by 95.6%. As many as 91.30% of students wrote reflections on their learning, while a small number were not yet accustomed to writing their opinions openly.
