PENGGUNAAN MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN EDUCAPLAY UNTUK MENINGKATKAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR PESERTA DIDIK PADA PEMBELAJARAN IPA DI SMP IT AL BAYAN PERCUT SEI TUAN

One of the most important aspects of learning is the media used by teachers in schools. The purpose of this research is to examine the use of learning media through the Educaplay game, with the aim of increasing students' learning motivation in science subjects. Based on observations, the lack of student motivation is due to the use of less engaging learning media. This observation motivated the researcher to conduct a study using the Educaplay game as a learning medium. The research was conducted at SMP IT Al Bayan, Percut Sei Tuan, with a sample of 23 seventh-grade students. The research employed a quantitative descriptive method with classroom action research, including pre-learning, cycle 1, and cycle 2. Data was collected using a learning motivation questionnaire given to students. The use of the Educaplay game as a learning medium resulted in an increase in motivation by 24% from pre-learning and 10.87%, starting from 72% in cycle 1 to 82.87% in cycle 2. Students were motivated by the interactive game-based learning media of Educaplay applied to the science subject.
